SAT考試概述
一、 考試認可
SAT考試（Scholastic Assessment Test）是由美國大學委員會（College Board）組織的“學術水平測驗考試”， 是美國高中生進入美國大學的標準入學考試。SAT考試成績是美國大學唯一能夠得到的、 可以比較來自不同地區(qū)和學校學生的成績， 所以對錄取與否及獎學金多少的影響非常大。美國3600余所大學都接受SAT考試成績。
二、 考試簡介
SAT考試分為兩部分：
SAT I（SAT Reasoning Test）： 包括數學、 閱讀、 文法3個必考科目和1個作文選考科目， 考試時間為3小時50分鐘（其中選考作文50分鐘）， 各部分的測試內容、 測試題型和分值如下：
2. SAT II （SAT Subject Tests）： 包括數學、 物理、 化學、 數學Level 1、 英語文學、 美國歷史、 世界歷史、 外語（漢語、 日語、 德語、 法語、 西班牙語、 韓語、拉丁語等20種）。部分美國名校只要求中國留學申請人提供SAT I的成績， 部分院校及專業(yè)要求申請人提供SAT II的單科考試成績。
SAT II考試時間為1小時， 大部分為選擇題， 每科滿分為800分， 主要考查考生某一學科的知識和運用這些知識的能力。
三、 考試報名
決定報名前， 首先要有一張國際通用信用卡， 如果沒有， 需要辦理一張中國銀行的“長城國際信用卡”。具體報名程序如下：
1. 登錄www.collegeboard.com注冊個人信息， 從而獲得用戶名和密碼；
2. 登錄SAT首頁， 進入自己的賬戶。填寫個人在校成績、 期望申請的專業(yè)等信息；
3. 上述信息填寫完畢后， 第二次登錄時， 這些信息不會出現， 此時直接點擊“new registration”進入即可。在注冊第一頁選擇考試類型、 考點、 年級（美國的12年級等于中國的高中三年級）等；
4. 點“continue”進入下一頁面， 選擇考試時間；
5. 進入下一頁面， 選擇是否接受“student answer service”的服務（如果選“yes”， 要交額外的費用， 但考試后可獲得考試報告）；
6. 進入下一頁面， 填寫欲申請的學校（也可以不填）；
7. 進入下一頁面， 選擇考試地點（如選擇香港， 點“search”， 會出現幾個地點， 可選擇其中之一； 點“add”， 再選擇）；
8. 進入下一頁面， 此時會出現“registration information”、 “fee and payment”和“credit card information”。填寫信用卡類型、 卡號及有效期， 之后會得到確認單， 報名即完成。
四、 什么是PSAT？
PSAT（Preliminary SAT）是SAT的預備測驗， 這個測驗的分數可以用來申請NMSQT（National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test， 美國的模范學生獎學金資格測驗）。對于廣大中國考生而言， PSAT難度要低于SAT， 但是考試科目基本一致， 都是閱讀、 寫作、 數學， 考生可以通過PSAT的培訓來逐步適應SAT的考試�？梢哉f， PSAT是SAT的預演與準備， PSAT與SAT相結合的培訓能夠更有效地幫助中國考生打好基礎、 適應考試， 更有利于考生在SAT考試中考出好成績。
五、 計分方式
1. SAT每一類型考題都是由易而難排列。
2. SAT I和SAT II所有題目答錯不再倒扣分， 未作答的題目則以零分計算。
3. 作答時可利用題目的空白處計算或做記號， 但所有答案均需填寫在答題紙上才計分。答題紙要小心填寫， 如有污損應擦拭干凈。
4. SAT I閱讀和文法部分的分值為800分，數學部分的分值為800分，寫作部分的分值為8分， SAT II 每科分值也是800分。
六、 成績查詢
考試后兩周， 考生可通過網站www.collegeboard.com查詢考試成績。
七、 考試建議
1. 準許帶進考場的物品：
�。�1） 護照及準考證
�。�2） 2支2B鉛筆和橡皮擦
注意： 不要使用自動鉛筆、 鋼筆或圓珠筆。自動鉛筆涂黑的效果不如2B鉛筆， 使用鋼筆或圓珠筆答題則會得0分。
（3） 計算器（用于數學部分）
�。�4） 手表（不帶語音報時功能）
�。�5） 手袋或背包（必須放在座位下方）
�。�6） 一些食品和飲料（必須放在所帶的手袋和背包里， 考試休息間隙時可以食用）
2. 不準帶進考場的物品：
�。�1） 草稿紙
�。�2） 字典、 書和筆記本
�。�3） 圓規(guī)和各種尺子
（4） 熒光筆和彩色鉛筆
�。�5） 隨身聽和便攜式CD播放器
（6） 相機
�。�7） 帶有語音報時功能的手表
（8） 手機以及除計算器外的其他電子設備
3. 備考建議
SAT考查考生經過長期學習所獲得的能力， 準備考試有短期和長期兩種準備：
A. 短期準備：
�。�1） 熟悉題目結構、 題型、 考試要求及考試程序；
�。�2） 詳讀International SAT Program Registration Bulletin手冊， 了解更多考試及考前和考后的相關事項。
B. 長期準備：
一般而言， 短期集中的練習對熟悉考試題型和減少考試焦慮頗有幫助， 但長期努力才是準備考試的不二法門�？忌鷳噙x修較富挑戰(zhàn)性的學術性課程， 廣泛研讀學術性及課外書籍。
