何建明，生于1956年，江蘇蘇州人。全國勞動模范。現(xiàn)任中國作協(xié)副主席、黨組成員、書記處書記，中國作家出版集團黨委書記、管委會主任。2012年6月30日當選中國報告文學學會會長。新時期最重要的報告文學作家之一。七獲全國優(yōu)秀報告文學獎，其中三獲魯迅文學獎、三獲正泰杯報告文學獎、四獲徐遲報告文學獎、五獲中宣部五個一工程獎。

He Jianming, a well-known author of reportage literature,has been awarded the Lu Xun Literature Prize three times,the National Excellent Reportage Prize seven times, andthe Xu Chi Reportage Prize four times. His main worksinclude The Country, Fidelity and Betrayal, FundamentalInterests, and Falling Tears are Gold. He is additionallythe author of the filmscripts Westbound Convict Trainand Folksong Xintianyou, and the TV series Founders andNational Action. He has published over 50 works ofliterature, including over 30 works of literary reportage,which have been translated into dozens of languages. Heis vice president of the China WritersAssociation.
